The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University engages in world-class research and has a long history as a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate education. Education
The educational profile of the faculty comprises two undergraduate programs, four postgraduate coursework and two higher degrees by research courses. Over 1800 students are enrolled in these programs. Leading the way in education innovation, the faculty's driving force behind introducing innovative technologies is student learning outcomes and over 90% of the faculty's students complete their respective courses.

The faculty considers access to high postgraduate courses as crucial. It is a founding member of the National Alliance for Pharmacy Education which aims to support the on-going advancement of the pharmacy profession through the provision of such courses by leveraging resources, experience and expertise from its university members.

Research
The key research initiatives within the faculty, engaging more than 200 research staff and postgraduate students, are the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety. Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is the largest, best equipped and most experienced group of pharmaceutical scientists in Australia and the Centre of Medicine Use and Safety is working to develop, implement and evaluate new, better models and systems of health care practice.

Parkville campus
The faculty, which incorporates the Victorian College of Pharmacy, is located at Monash University's Parkville campus. The campus is 3km north of Melbourne's city centre and is part of the ‘Parkville strip' - Australia's premier health and biomedical precinct. The campus has world class teaching facilities and research laboratories arising from a $50 million redevelopment over the past three years.
